Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — you must hold a valid Victorian Learner Permit before driving on public roads with an instructor. You can obtain your permit by passing the VicRoads Hazard Perception Test and knowledge test. We're happy to advise you on how to prepare if you haven't got it yet.

That's completely fine — and actually ideal. Starting from zero means there are no bad habits to correct. Our first lesson begins with car familiarisation before we even move. Many of our most confident graduates had zero experience on day one.

VicRoads requires 120 hours of supervised driving before you can apply. Most students benefit from 10–20 professional lessons spread across their learning journey. We'll give you honest feedback every lesson so you know exactly where you stand.

We primarily teach in automatic vehicles, which is the most common choice for Victorian learners. Note that a manual licence allows you to drive both; an automatic licence restricts you to automatic only.

Yes, family members are welcome to observe. Many parents find it helpful to see our teaching methods so they can reinforce the same techniques during their own supervised sessions.

Yes. We pick you up and drop you off at home, school, or work within our standard Northern Melbourne service area. Additional charges may apply for locations outside this zone.
